This recording is a wonderful mix of original songs and standards. Jones’s voice is getting richer and more soulful. He is always understated in his choice of notes, preferring the evocative to the flashy. The standouts on this cd are “Sensual Item” and “All the Way”.
All and all another timeless recording from Vince Jones and his band.
